What is Revenue operations?

Also called RevOps.

Revenue operations is the function that runs and governs the commercial process end to end: the systems, data, forecasting, territory design and reporting shared by marketing, sales and customer success. Its charter is running the revenue process, as distinct from building new revenue machinery.

The line against GTM engineering is charter rather than seniority. RevOps governs and operates what exists; GTM engineering builds what does not. In smaller companies one person does both.
